My confidence cannot exceed your generosity

Good Monday morning, my friends.

I was searching for a prayer this morning when I came upon this one written by Claude de la Colombière (1641-1682).  The line that got my attention was:

"I know that my confidence (in You, God) cannot exceed your generosity"

There is a space I need to live in!

Jaye worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Director General on my floor.  Her friend, Lena, mentioned in the article is the Administrative Assistant to the Director for which I work.  Please lift these folks in your prayers today - may it be a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

In you, O loving God, have I hoped: 

let me never be confounded. 

I know too well 

that I am weak and changeable. 

I know the power of temptation 

against the strongest virtue. 

I have seen stars fall 

and foundations of my world crack; 

these things do not alarm me.

that you will protect me against the deceitful attacks of the evil one,

and that you will cause my weakness to triumph over every hostile force.
