Daily Prayer - Change for a Dollar

Good Monday morning, my friends.

My sister, Beth, had posted a link to this video on Facebook.  If you can, take 10 minutes to watch it: "Change for a Dollar".

It is amazing what kind of "change" this man gets for a dollar.  Reminds me of the story of the "Widow's Mite":

Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.  But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

(Mark 12:41-44)

It has nothing to do with how much we give, but in what God can do with it.

Grace and peace be yours in abundance,

Bruce

Almighty God,

be pleased to grant that these gifts,

being dedicated to your service,

may be used for your glory and the good of your church and people,

through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
