O God, guide us through the dark places in life

Good Friday afternoon, my friends.

When I look back at the worst experiences of my life - pain, shame, suffering, humiliation - I can honestly say that God has used every one of those events to create something good.  It's just really difficult to have that perspective in the midst of the turmoil.  If you are not facing something like that right now then perhaps God has put someone in your path who is experiencing something you have gone through.  Lift this prayer, asking God to help us keep our focus on Him at all times.

Grace and peace be yours in abundance,
Bruce

O God, guide us through the dark places in life.

Grant that we may not fear the loss of thee, knowing that you are always by our side, and that life will renew itself in us if we give it time and are willing to wait.

And as we rise out of the low places through which we sometimes must walk, help us to be thankful for them, because through them and by them we may be able to help someone else through the darkness into light.
