How do we offer our bodies as living sacrifices?

Good Thursday morning, my friends.

In Romans 12:1-2 Paul tells us:

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

How do we offer our bodies as living sacrifices?  What does it mean to transform our minds?  To me this means being more and more aware of God in every circumstance, where ever we are, in every interaction with others.  The more often we bring Him into the equation, the more our thoughts, words and deeds will please Him.  And when we do that, we are living in God's good, pleasing and perfect will.

Grace and peace to you in abundance,
Bruce

Father of love, hear my prayer.

Help me to know Your Will
and to do it with courage and faith.

Accept my offering of myself,
all my thoughts, words, deeds, and sufferings.

May my life be spent giving You glory.

Give me the strength to follow Your call,
so that Your Truth may live in my heart
and bring peace to me and to those I meet,
for I believe in Your Love.
